"We were scared about the number of volunteers who were going to show up because of covid," said Sofia Hargreaves, office coordinator of Sharing & Caring. "We thought we were going to have a lot less, but they showed up. It really shows how much they love this organization regardless of the circumstances this year."

The Arkansas Blood Institute which serves Fort Smith and Little Rock has started testing for antibodies said Julie Jones, donation specialist. "[It is] kind of up in the air mostly," she said of whether the Community Blood Center of the Ozarks would begin testing for antibodies. They are the sole provider of blood to all of Northwest Arkansas, Southern Missouri and parts of Kansas.
